i hate that pass to HEDGECOCK, i thought the amount of production a play has would determine if you keep running it...the play to hedgecock has worked 1 time in my memory

his body movement allowed him to get to the ball he has to leave his feet and go get the ball....im starting to not like this guy because he also does that on slants

play action gave Manning all day. DRC vs Hixon is not the matchup you want, not when you have Smith, Manningham and Nicks, all 3 of which are better. They spent all week having the DBacks go up high for the ball, now they have to have the same drills for the WRs.

If # 44 was in for that drive the pic never happens because on jacobs 20 yarder he takes it home.

Cromartie is a solid CB and playmaker. Wrong WR on that play shld have been Manningham and/or crossing under neath too.

webster on fitzgerald, "two great players"... and webster can handle it! that is the difference between winning and losing, that matchup with webster draped on him. at a certain point fitzgerald will get his due, he is a pro bowl player who can jump to the moon, but webster makes such a huge difference vs this team.
...

Need Ross and Boley bad is ways we'll never comprehend. Webster and Tuck are the cornerstones of this D...pure pro bowlers and them some.
O is not on track tonight. Need Boss, screens to open up deep ball for Manning's accuracy. Manning is always more accurate deep than intermediate.
...
written by ultimatenyg, October 25, 2009
AZ has too many 8 man boxes, Adrian Wilson practically living in the box. You hgave to go to the screens/flares/slants/play action to BURN THEM, go deep if necessary but burn them. they are selling out on the run.

The Giants scoring today = 7 pts off of a Thomas INT and a miracle freak bounce pinball to Nicks. Otherwise this offense has been STAGNANT.

special teams are terrible....im really starting to think Jerry Reese has to MAKE Coughlin get rid of Gilbride....we HAVE to address the KICKING game.

penalties were the ONLY way we could get field position... sad state of the offense.

Game of bad field postion up until now. Need to convert at least a TD here. Mix it up, Boss screen, Manningham screen, Bdshaw flare etc.
...
written by LT56, October 25, 2009
I think teams realize that our Steve Smith can take advantage of a zone as well as anybody, but he has a hard time beating a decent corner one on one. Also, why do the giants go from the shotgun on short yardage and pass so much? Couldn't they at least pretend like they might run?
...
written by ultimatenyg, October 25, 2009
Manningham must make that catch
...
written by ultimatenyg, October 25, 2009
that flare to Jacobs was perfect, just off target to him, or else great call
...
written by ultimatenyg, October 25, 2009
terrible spot, challenge the spot
...
written by ultimatenyg, October 25, 2009
that the offense could not score 7 is entirely on Manningham, Manning has not been perfect at all today, but he put that ball in perfectly and Manningham cost the team 4 points there.
...
written by Motown Blue, October 25, 2009
No. Bad jumpy throw by Eli. Patience and cool and that was a TD. Yes a good call! Spot was too close but not enough.

From Fifth Down
Update | 10:47 p.m. The Giants offense has been fairly contained tonight. There doesn’t seem to be a whole lot of rhythm. The Giants Stadium crowd is growing restless. The key to the game so far has been Arizona’s front seven. Or, in this case, front eight. Strong safety Adrian Wilson has been creeping down in the box and getting inside Eli Manning’s head. His interception on the last play was a result of disguised coverage that worked because of effective blitzing from earlier in the game. The Cardinals’ defensive backs are playing with confidence because Wilson and the linebackers are dictating the tone up front.

This is the first time this year 8 in the box has intimidated Eli. Is he losing confidence in his WRs?
...
written by LT56, October 25, 2009
I wonder if this is when Eli's quality of play starts inevitably trailing off towards the middle of the season.

Sorry, guys this team is not what we think they are! Gillbrown this week, Sheridan last week. Out schemed out coached. No excuse to lose a game after getting spanked last week. They need to come out fired up and fuming.....just BS. Again I am questioning Coughlin on his loyalty with Gilbrown and Gilbrown's IQ of a pigeon. Sheridan was far better this week and the O put them in a hole way too much.
