Belichick: "This is still a Cruz and Nicks game. I mean I know we're right on'em; it's tight. But those are still the guys. Make'em go to Manningham, make'em go to Pascoe, all right. But let's make sure we get Cruz and Nicks."
Great Sound FX show.
Gotta love the Pats announcers praising Brady ("masterfull", nothing less) and asking "You still want Eli ?".
Are the Giants the best organization in the NFL ?
Everyone is acting like this title is the last step of a well thought out and perfectly executed plan when it feels more like another unbelievable miracle.
I saw the show - great sounds. How about this exchange after the phantom hold on Boothe. It starts out with confusion between the officials, Coughlin questioning them, and then this:
Umpire - Did he hold you and spin you around or did you flop?
Wolfork - No, that was a bad call
Umpire- It was a bad call on you?
Wolfork - Yeah
Umpire- Bad call on me?
Wolfork - Yeah
Umpire- Why didn't you tell me that before I threw
Wolfork - Nah, cause mostly you gotta admit it was a "garbled" play - lauging with officials
Wolfork - I'll let you know when you miss one too man
Referee - I know you will, too
@RickH "Umpire- Why didn't you tell me that before I threw" Did the umpire really expect him to? Who does that?
@RickH We all knew it was a bad call; at least the luck the Giants got on some of the other stuff helped even that one out. I really believed the Giants were en route to a 16-3 lead on that possession, and after rewatching the game I am more convinced than ever.
LOL the Wilfork exchange was amusing.
Belichick was right. It was a cruz,Nicks game as all the games the Giants won had the same tone.
I never understand why so many who have no answers, never have any answers lean to the obvious when they are naked. Cruz ans Nicks had career seasons and if they stay healthy and Eli can play even close to this level then one may look back at one of if not the best aerial circus's of all time.
These guys have chemistry, talent, age and talent on their side. There is simply No team even close to what this quarterback, these receivers were able to do. No,Aaron Rodgers is an amazing player but we found out that blessed with good receivers just wasn't enough. This year when the "chips were down" there was no one,not even close to anyone who could stop the Giants.
I knew "Blue" was destined when guys like Herman Hynoski and "Bear" Pascoe made" started making big plays. Hynoski was crucial in this win with his clutch, power runs. several of which provided momentum. Pascoe caught what Eli threw and also made a difference.
Who are these guys? Two more free agents who were "never"supposed to last. They were bodies to fill spaces where the Giants had no bodies but nothing more. Then there was Jake Ballard who,was told he was a blocker period and went on to make clutch catch after clutch catch when we need them.
Enjoy this my friends as we may never see anything like it again. For one Sunday evening we got to see the stuff kids dream about. It was very different than last time but just as surreal.
I want to congratulate Osi Unemyoria for his season, his career, his incredible display of courage and honor to not only play for a team that demeaned him but,to play a dominate role in his second Super Bowl in 8 years. He had a sack a game, made several key strip sacks and lots of quarterback pressures. He played better than men throughout the league making 3-4 times the money he did as least.
We talk about special people but most don't notice it when it is in their face. Osi always played in pain,he played when others like Canty,Bernard, and others on the Giants and around the league just took a check.
Osi made his point but opted to "shut up" and play ball". He got screwed,he knew it but he was right there when it was time yo play.J.P.P said Osi taught him a lot which was somehow buried by the press yet after the Superbowl he was all smiles, the consummate team mate and said he'd like his career to end right here in N.Y. Don't bet the Giants will let him.
Last there is Mario Manningham. Mario runs out of bounds on routes as much as he stays on the field but,he made some great grabs when it mattered. He has "iffy" hands and drops a lot but,Mario made an incredible play when we had to have it and another for a touchdown over the middle when we had to have it so,Mario will probably dress in Blue next year but if not,"the Catch" this year is topped only by what Tyree did 5 years ago.
All in all, what a strange ride we have been on this year!!
ridiculous!! umenyiora did not get screwed! first, he signed a long contract and should have shut up and honored that contract and played and earned his money in so doing. Period!! But no Osi proved to everyone his selfish me me me immature selfish attitude, one that undermeines teams. One that does not add to a winning culture. Second, osi was injured did not even play for 6 games, but still got paid as if he did, so he go more than full value for his play this year. In the end, the words selfish and self -centered and immature are the words that define umenyiora, not withstanding his genuine talent at rushing and geting to qb's. And he is apprecaited for that, but he never should have been a cry baby pouter with sellers remorse about a perfectly fair contract. Nor should he until that contract ends next year. Osi is proved to be a frontrunner sunnyday player- you didnt here a speck of a gripe form him once the giants started winning, and voila he was playing well and hard along with the rest of the team. But that is prcisely what he and everyone else signed up and were/are paid to do. Period. Osi is growing up finally, and may be gone after next year, but if he is smart he will first seek to continue to keep his motuh shut be happy to be playing for the ny giants, a champion org, and when his contract is up, renegotiate in good faith, and be all in. But he was never mistreated or disrespected by the ginats, Thats a load of BS.
@nyduck First, I do not appreciate your little boy's rant.
Your"opinion" gets NO respect from me as you have No knowledge of whether Reese committed to a new contract or not. Osi said he did and Reese as usual said nothing. I take Osi at his word!!
Need I say you are someone who I do not respect!! You need to have the chops to slander people as you have but more importantly you are ,well, our readers can decide for themselves.
Oh my God! How about a FACT!! J.P.P. said only this weekend that Osi is a "great player" who has "taught me a lot" He went on to say the they"the Giants" should pay Osi "whatever he wants"
I wonder if the opinion of someone who plays with him and lauds him is more credible than your "empty" rant. I wonder if the opinion of arguably the best defensive lineman in the league this year is more valid than spewing "horse feces from one's mouth.
Osi has played on two super bowl teams,is a pro-bowl player who had 12 sacks, several strip-sacks and what was called the "biggest play of the game" in the playoffs.
Oh my God!
Michael Strahan calls Osi a "great player"",a great team mate" who deserved more. What? a Giant legend who played defensive line with Osi said that?
One more thing!! Osi came back a year early from serious surgery to play when others would just take a check! Oh my God,he gad 13 sacks and played through the pain!
B.S.? Shame on you "duck" or does that start with an F?
so much for your rag of a blog,, your own horseshid gutter bucket mindless invectives aside,, your only argument is that he is a good player,, which i said in my post,, but apparently your cunning shive little mind missed the main poin that the guy proved to be a selfish player, who had seelers remorse, etc,, but why waste my time in reply to horse's ass dickweed pig sucking stick it up your kyke bait mommy's boy ,, that makes the only thing look funnier than your pathetic rant, be your pathetic knowledge of football on your equally pathetic blog!! eat sh it and die shmendrick weasley little schmuck,,A chazer bleibt a chazer!!
