NYG 27 Washington 23

What a thrilling game.  Of course, my heart did not need it to be that thrilling.  But the Giants like to make things interesting.  A thorough recap of the game is practically impossible, given all of the craziness that took place seemingly every possession.  Each team missed so many opportunities to wrest control of the game away from the other.  It was only fitting that, at the end, we would see two lead changes inside of 19 seconds of play.

After RGIII hit Moss for what every Redskin fan felt was the dagger TD, I tweeted: "Eli- u have stunk it today, time to bail yourself and the #nyg out here."

Bail us all out he did!

The 77 yard TD to Victor Cruz was sensational.  Victor Cruz is sensational.  Eli Manning's sloppy (at time horrendous) play cost Cruz at least one if not TWO other touchdowns earlier in this game.  Add two INTs by Eli and I will say unequivocally that it was VICTOR CRUZ WHO BAILED US ALL OUT TODAY.

The Giants defense was a sieve.  Two (or three?) huge penalties against the Redskins negated scoring opportunities, huge injuries, and huge turnovers exposed the Giants, without which they do not escape with a win.  Indeed, the Giants defense was still exposed, especially the LBers.  The defense missed a fast Jacquian Williams and a healthy (unhamstrung) Keith Rivers.  With those two and 4 healthy legs, the Giants LBers are going to keep this RGIII offense more in check.  Either way, it was a handful.

Win and move on.  The Giants won and will move on.  With a healthier set of LBers and Eli Manning making less boner passes, the Giants should be ok.  One thing that is not okay is Victor Cruz.  He is simply spectacular.

Very tough divisional win. I see I'm not the only one having trouble remembering what happened yesterday !

I don't even remember the other interception ...

I thought we'd be able to score more but Manning pretty much prevented that ...

I think the Skins kinda kill themselves a few times and we were fortunate to limit them to 23 points.

That illegal shift (I didn't get the call, apparently Aikman said it was a good one) that took a TD away and the weird Personal Foul call when the Skins had a 1 & 10 on our 13 helped us big time.

Good day for Bennett.

I had a feeling going in this was going to be a tough game. The Skins have been in every game they've played this year. I'm sure advanced stats would show they're much better than their record. I hope you're right that better speed at LB will help us against this offense (and give props not only to RGIII but to the Shanahans for turning this offense from one of the worst year in year out to one of the best overnight). But that didn't seem to be the main issue in the first half. As a viewer, I've rarely felt so uncertain play to play whether the QB or the RB has the ball--and that hesitation has a lot to do with why Albert Morris was over 100 yards by halftime. But I guess one thing today's game showed is how methodical offenses based on the run can be both a blessing and a curse. The Skins opened with a 17-play drive and only got 3 points out of it.

I'm just glad we got out of this with a win. Losing to our third division rival in a row would have been very tough. I'm just hoping we can win again next week to go 2-2 in the division. Better we should lose a game or two to the AFC North than in conference and certainly in division.

@dbs50 Weird situation in the division btw, all divisional games included the Giants so far, no WAS-PHI or PHI-DAL yet ...

We'll have played 4 divisional games next sunday and the others teams will be at 2 or less !
