Defense wins championships.  The Giants  don't  have  a  defense.  Thus, they are a mediocre team that is going nowhere.

Tricky, gusty and swirling winds, reports Rob from inside the stadium at gametime. This SHOULD BE AN ADVANTAGE FOR ELI.  Why? Because he is in his sixth season, Ryan is in his second, Eli (to quote Simms, for Meadowlands QBs) should KNOW he'll have a bad day, to play through it, but the opposing QB will not understand that.  Eli, use that advantage and show us what you got.

ACTIVE: ROSS

INACTIVE:  Barden, Dockery, DJohnson, GJohnson, Koets, Moss, Pierce (see comments section past two days), Whimper.

NOTE FOR ATL: Yes, Turner is out. But so is Jerious Norwood.

Last minute comment: NO EXCUSES, win the game. If Webster can handle White, the other 10 guys have to handle Gonzalez. The wind SHOULD allow for some INT opptys.

How long does it take?

There are really very few great coaches. I think the term is used way too often. The same can be said of great players. When I think of great coaches I think of the late Bill Walsh, Bill Parcells,Vince Lombardi, Bill Belichick, Bud Grant, Tom Landry, the first reign of Joe Gibbs and a few others. I would say that John Madden was an excellent coach. I got to know him and he probably would have fallen into the great category if he had coached longer. Chuck Knoll of the Steelers is right on the cusp and I wouldn't argue if he was included. I think that Marv Levy had a great run but he couldn't get the "big win". His teams were so close but, where do we draw the line?
